Brendan has extensive experience in teaching and research in Finance. He gained his Ph.D. at the University of Leicester where he held a lectureship for several years before joining De Montfort University in the UK. He retains external examiner roles in a number at several internationally renowned institutions. His research interests include but are not limited to Asset pricing, Insider Trading, Financial Regulation, Markets and Society, Liquidity, and Corporate Finance. He has published in world-leading journals which include the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, the British Journal of Management, the International Review of Financial Analysis amongst others. He is currently working on several projects which reverse the lens of asset price behavior, exploring the impact of these upon society.
