After completing an undergraduate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography at the George Washington University, Dr. Mohtasib did his graduate work in Liverpool University's Division of Medical Imaging within the Institute of Translation Medicine, a division focused on computational neural network models of brain systems. He came to King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in 2012 as a postdoc to pursue his interests in human functional neuroimaging. During his postdoc, Dr. Mohtasib conducted some studies of functional connectivity, validating pr-surgical technique and relating resting-state functional connectivity measures to language variables. More recently, he joined Alfaisal University as assistant professor in medical Imaging. He is interested in novel functional neuroimaging techniques and clinical applications of these techniques.
