Welf H. Weiger is Assistant Professor of Marketing. He earned his Ph.D at the University of Goettingen, Germany and also worked there as Assistant Professor of Digital Marketing. His research interests lie primarily in social media marketing, customer engagement, and gamification. Among others, his work was presented at conferences such as the ISMS Marketing Science Conference, Thought Leadership in Marketing Conference, Marketing meets Wall Street, AMA, International Conference on Information Systems, and HICSS. His work has been published in Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, International Journal of Research in Marketing, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Business Research, Journal of the Association for Consumer Research, Journal of Service Management and more. He received various awards for academic achievements, including a Best Paper Award of the American Marketing Association and Best Reviewer Award of the International Conference on Information Systems.
