Dr. M. U. Khan has a PhD in Secure Software Engineering from Queen’s University (Canada), Masters (Diplom) in Computational Logic from Dresden University of Technology (Germany), and Bachelors in Computer Science from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, (Lahore, Pakistan).
He has more than 13 years of experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate students from 4 countries across 3 continents which has given him a wide ranging perspective on students needs and backgrounds. He has also served in the industry which has enabled him to understand the needs of the industry and how to prepare university students for the workforce environment.
Dr. Khan has published several papers in conferences and journals over the years some of which have been extensively cited. He has successfully applied and received grants as PI totaling around $ 400000 for different applied and research projects.
His research interests include software security, secure software development, secure requirements and design techniques, and security vulnerability identification and analysis.
