Dr. Mohan Raj Krishnan is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, Alfaisal University in Saudi Arabia. He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from the University of Madras and Anna University, both in Chennai, India. Dr. Krishnan completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2015 at the National Institute for Materials Science in Tsukuba, Japan, and Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, under the supervision of Professor Izumi Ichinose. His doctoral research concentrated on the fabrication of nanoporous polymer materials for environmental remediation applications. Dr. Krishnan's areas of expertise encompass polymer nanocomposites, petrochemical engineering, directed self-assembly of block copolymers (BCPs), anti-reflective and high-transmission optical films, as well as hydro- and organogels, and desert agriculture. He has published his research findings in numerous prestigious journals, including Progress in Polymer Science, Nature Communications, Small, Journal of Energy Chemistry, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Sustainable Energy & Fuels, Energy & Environmental Materials, Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, and Chemical Communications. Additionally, Dr. Mohan has secured several US/WO patent rights, including US10772265B1, US11912938B2, US11851614B2, US11802232B2, US11578543B2, US11499092B2, US11459503B2, and US11059205B2.
