Dr. Younes Hamdouch is a Professor of Operations Management at Alfaisal University (AU), College of Business, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Montreal, Canada (2002). Prior to the AU appointment, he has worked as an academic at Zayed University and the United Arab Emirates University in the UAE and as a researcher at the University of Florida, USA.

Dr. Hamdouch has more than 19 years of teaching experience in a wide range of interdisciplinary areas including operations management, business analytics and statistics, logistics and supply chain management, and total quality management. He has an extensive experience in course and curriculum development in operations management and supply chain management and logistics.

Dr. Hamdouch has published high quality articles in leading academic journals in transportation and supply chain logistics such as Transportation Research Part B, Transportation Science and European Operations Research. He is the sole author of the paper “Multi-Period Supply Chain Network Equilibrium with Capacity Constraints and Purchasing Strategies” published in the well-known journal Transportation Research Part C (ABDC: A*; SJR =3.21). He has a high number of citations with a total of 856 citations and most of his articles are published in A/A* journals. Dr. Hamdouch was awarded many research grants in his discipline and had presented his research work at leading conferences in the Operations Management area such as INFORMS and POMS.

Dr. Hamdouch held two key administrative positions, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the College of Business at Zayed University and Chairman for the Department of Business Administration at U.A.E University. Furthermore, He had served as a chair and a member of several committees at the college and university levels. During his career at U.A.E University, he also had a chance to supervise many undergraduate, master and DBA students who did term projects, internships and dissertations with different organizations/companies in the U.A.E and the Gulf region.
