Dr. Abdulrahman Alymani is a distinguished faculty member at Alfaisal University. He holds a PhD earned from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he obtained his master’s degree (MArch) from the esteemed Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc).
During his Ph.D. research, he conducted an in-depth investigation into the dynamic interaction between building envelopes and the ground, employing advanced machine learning techniques to analyze the intricate relationship. His research focus revolved around comprehending the intricate interplay of buildings with their immediate environment.
Before joining the Alfaisal University faculty, Dr. Alymani contributed as an assistant teacher at Cardiff University, further enriching his academic experience.
Dr. Alymani exhibits a wide-ranging fascination with computational methods in the field of architecture. His interests span various facets, including leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications within architectural contexts. He possesses adeptness in parametric design, digital design, and generative design as well.
In addition to his interdisciplinary research endeavours, Dr. Alymani actively collaborates with fellow academics from diverse fields. His collaborative efforts encompass domains such as computer science, landscape architecture, and urban planning.
