Dr. Anfaal Ahmad completed her PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Glasgow, U.K. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Alfaisal University (Riyadh, KSA). She also holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Glasgow. Dr Anfaal was awarded the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma Award and was awarded with the honourable Wards Trust Scholarship to pursue her PhD, titled ‘Geography, Accountability and Capital: an ethnography of Ecological Accountabilities in Gilgit-Baltistan’. She was recognised as the youngest PhD graduate in the history of the Adam Smith Business School. Dr Anfaal’s research interests involve exploring critical aspects of accounting, particularly deeper aspects of feminism and geography within the accounting discourse. In previous academic roles, Dr Anfaal has worked on several engagements relevant to learning, assessment, and scholarship. She has been part of the organisation committee of  several workshops and conferences. She is a member of the  Early Career Reviewer Board for the Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change. Dr. Anfaal has previously held several roles with Deloitte, Audit Scotland, and the Royal Bank of Scotland. She is an affiliate of Graduate Women International, an NGO empowering women and girls through life-long education.
