Prof. Olena Bolgova, MD, PhD
Professor of Gross Anatomy
Olena Bolgova, MD, Ph.D., has extensive experience working as a researcher and educator. She has two decades of experience as a university professor teaching Gross and Clinical Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, and Embryology. She also has clinical training and experience.
Dr. Bolgova has received extensive recognition as a national and international author and presenter. Her research has been published in The FASEB Journal, Osteoporosis International, Austin Journal of Anatomy, Critical Reviews in Eukaryotic Gene Expression, MOJ Anatomy and Physiology, Journal of Clinical Densitometry, Age Management Medicine Group Journal, Morphology. She has presented at numerous medical conferences, including the International Symposium of Osteoporosis, Experimental Biology, Clinical Applications Age Management Medicine, Clinical Osteoporosis Symposium, and Arbeitstagung der Anatomischen Gesellschaft.
Dr. Bolgova’s research interests and presentations include studies of the Thyroid gland, Dental system, Age Management Medicine, and Neuroeconomics. She stays informed about the latest medical research and advancements by being an active member of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists, the Ukrainian Anatomical Association, and Anatomische Gesellschaft (Germany).
Dr. Bolgova has received Outstanding Mentor Award 2023/24 from Alfaisal Students and numerous Mentor Faculty Merit Awards from St. Matthew's University students, the Dean's Award for outstanding contribution and dedicated service, and the CEME Award in recognition of her valuable contribution to faculty developmental workshops. Cayman Heart Fund recognized her contribution to the Cayman Health Fairs by presenting her with several certificates of appreciation.
