Waël Louhichi is Professor of Finance. He obtained a Ph.D. from both Louvain School of Management, Mons (Belgium) and Perpignan University (France). He also obtained HDR diploma for supervising doctoral research from University of Rennes. His main areas of research are market microstructure, sustainable finance and empirical finance. He has published several articles in top-tier journals (Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of International Money and finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Econometric Reviews, British Journal of Management, Business Strategy & the Environment, Risk Analysis, International Review of Financial Analysis, Review of Accounting and Finance, Management Decision, Journal of Applied Accounting Research, Energy Journal, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Economic Modelling, Applied Economics, Energy Economics, among others). He edited three handbooks about market microstructure and financial crises published by Springer and Word Scientific Publishing. He is Associate Editor in International Journal of Finance & Economics and served as guest editor for special issues in several international journals such as Journal of Economic Behavior & Organisation, Research in International Business and Finance, International Journal of Finance & Economics and Economic Modelling. He was the invited chairman for the Global Finance Conference (GFC, Paris 2018) and co-organiser of the Financial Economic Meeting Conference.
