I am an assistant professor of English at Alfaisal University. My scholarship investigates the shifting nature of writing in the era of artificial intelligence. More broadly, my interests include educational linguistics, discourse analysis, and the teaching of literature and creative writing. My articles appear in Assessing Writing, College Composition and Communication, Computers and Composition, English Teaching: Practice & Critique, the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy, and the Journal of Response to Writing. I earned a B.A. in English from Wellesley College, an M.A.T. in Secondary English Education from Brown University, and a Ph.D. in English and Education from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
