Dr. Racha is the course co-director, a senior lecturer in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and a pedagogist in maternal and fetal public health. Her commitment to excellence and desire to make a difference in the lives of her patients and students make her a dedicated physician and instructor, focused on the continuous development of her students’ skills.
With an OBGYN background and as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Racha teaches women's health to high standards, facilitating her students' learning of essential skills in this vital field. Furthermore, Dr. Racha aspires to educate future healthcare professionals on maternal and fetal public health by equipping undergraduate and graduate students with practical theoretical knowledge in alignment with the National Transformation Program (NTP) and Social Determinants of Health (SDH). She has diverse clinical experience, having worked at various hospitals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and outside Saudi Arabia, where she honed skills in patient care and surgical techniques.
As a member of the Center for Innovation, Partnership, and Community Engagement (CIPC) and the AU-Wellness and Health Office (au-W.H.O.), Dr. Racha is dedicated to promoting community education on maternal and fetal health. To this end, she records podcasts in partnership with a non-profit organization and posts them to the Alfaisal YouTube channel, moderates and organizes the health promotion projects that are led by students, and contributes to various workshops that are directed toward the community.
Her research focuses on the health and well-being of women in the community. It encompasses a range of critical areas that includes demographic studies to analyze the specific needs of different groups of women and gathering qualitative and quantitative data to understand the health challenges women face in the community.
