Bio

Robert Zacca is Assistant Professor of Management at Alfaisal University, Saudi Arabia. Prior to this he held an assistant professor position at the United Arab Emirates University. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Tulane University, New Orleans, his M.B.A. from Plymouth State University, New Hampshire and his Ph.D. in Management from Cracow University of Economics, Poland. His current research investigates the drivers and enablers of innovative enterprises; the determinants of innovative capabilities; and management leadership and performance. He has won a National Research Foundation grant from UAE and his work has been published in Management Decision, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Creativity and Innovation Management, Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, Journal of Global Mobility, International Journal of Organizational Analysis, IEEE International Technology Management Conferences and elsewhere. He was awarded the Alfaisal University Research Excellence Reward for 2016-17, the College of Business, Shell Saudi Arabia outstanding research award for 2015-16 and has been recognized with an outstanding research award for a paper acceptance in a top ranked journal in 2014. Additionally, his coauthored paper was nominated for the best paper award in the Creativity and Innovation Management Journal for the year 2013. He is a research team leader and capable mentor able to transmit his passion and talent for research to young scientists. Furthermore, he has extensive industry experience managing and operating organizations as well as in business consulting. His teaching interests include courses in management, entrepreneurship, management of innovation, design thinking, value innovation strategy, business ethics, and HR Planning, Recruitment and Selection.
